Jobily Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 17, 2026
Jobily ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our browser extension (the "Extension").
1. Information We Collect
- Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, location, LinkedIn URL, and portfolio website (provided by you during onboarding).
- Professional Information: Resume content, work experience, education, skills, and answers to common application questions.
- Application Data: Job titles, companies, application dates, statuses, URLs, and expected CTC (salary) information.
- Usage Data: Interactions with the Extension (e.g., number of cover letters generated, features used) to improve our service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core functionality of the Extension – storing your profile, generating personalized cover letters, and tracking job applications.
- To sync your data across devices (when you are signed in).
- To improve our services, troubleshoot issues, and analyze usage patterns.
- To communicate with you about subscription status, updates, or support inquiries.
3. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. We only share information as necessary to operate the Extension:
- AI Providers (e.g., OpenAI): When you generate a cover letter, the job description and your profile data are sent to our AI provider solely for that generation. We have agreements that prohibit them from using your data for training or any other purpose.
- Cloud Storage (Supabase): Your profile, applications, and settings are stored securely in a Supabase database. Supabase acts as a data processor and does not have access to your data for any purpose other than providing the storage service.
- Payment Processor (Stripe): Subscription payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store or process your payment details – only Stripe does.
4. Data Security
We implement industry‑standard measures to protect your information:
- All data transmitted between the Extension and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS.
- Your profile data is stored in a database with strict Row‑Level Security – only you can access your own records.
- We regularly review our security practices and update dependencies to address vulnerabilities.
5. Your Rights & Choices
- Access & Correction: You can view and edit all your information at any time within the Extension's Profile and Settings tabs.
- Deletion: To delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at the email below. You may also delete your data manually via the Extension, but cloud backups may persist for a short period.
- Data Portability: You can export your data (profile, applications) at any time using the Extension's settings.
- Withdraw Consent: You may stop using the Extension at any time. Uninstalling the Extension removes local data; cloud data can be deleted upon request.
6. Children's Privacy
The Extension is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when changes were made. Your continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
